Workshop
Strap on your tool belt.
... And step into the Workshop, because there is much to be done! Workshops provide the opportunity to contribute to our community in a powerful way.
Around the neighborhood, there are always projects on our to-do list, such as mowing, cleaning, redecorating, and repairing. Taking care of these tasks isn’t always high on our priority list, but if they are neglected, life loses its sense of beauty and balance. When we step outside ourselves to serve, we are often surprised to find that the work can be enjoyable and rewarding, especially when we grow closer to one another as a result.
So what do UC Fellowship Workshop environments look like? They include not only the Neighborhood environments on Sunday mornings at Jay M. Robinson High School, but neighborhoods all across the globe. There are tasks to be done to make our Neighborhood Gathering and KidStuf effective like setting up the environments or leading a kid’s small group. Other UCF workshops bring food to the homeless and provide service to our neighbors in the Charlotte community. Some UCF workshops even travel as far as Mexico or Ethiopia to share God’s love by meeting various needs in these impoverished areas.
Wherever you choose to serve, be prepared for it to have an incredible impact on your life. So roll up your sleeves and jump in! We look forward to working side-by-side with you!
